Serena Williams’s Black Strapless Oscars Gown Has the Most Unique Beaded Detailing

There are a lot of things that we can trust Serena Williams to absolutely nail. For one, any on-court competition—with a tennis racquet in hand, she’s proven to be unstoppable. But her talents don’t end there. The former tennis pro has an absolute way with curating the best red carpet fashion. There has never been a moment when the 42-year-old hasn’t answered the call for elevated style.
Last night was no exception. She showed up to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in an outfit that was meant to—and no doubt did—turn heads. Williams wore a long black fitted strapless gown with red and white beaded detailing along the neckline. She paired it with black gloves likewise adorned with red and white beads.
The athlete didn’t stop there, though. Atop her black gloves, she wore two oversized gem rings—one, a ruby to match the red in her dress. Likewise, she wore a diamond necklace and a pair of sparkly earrings.
“That pre carpet glow 💫,” Williams captioned the series of photos that she shared from before the red carpet event on Instagram.
Williams paired the look with a soft curl in her lengthy highlighted hair and a full face of glowy glam to match her statement-making look. Like we said, when she hits a red carpet—much like everything else she does—she’s bound to do it right. Williams would never pass up the chance to turn heads with her fashion, and that’s exactly what she did at the Oscars after-party.
